[ 09/01/2010 ] Windows Mobile Regular Check Ups

I love my HTC, simple as that. Some people find Windows mobile or Pocket PC synonymous with unstable. This can turn a few people off these great phones. The major think is that windows mobile doesn't assume the user computer illiterate, which sometimes we are thankful for.  For the average user this will cause problems... "Why is my phone so slow now?" or the classic "My phone keeps locking up". Here are some " Deadlamb Dope Disclosures "...

1. Never underestimate a reboot! Rebooting your HTC on a regular basis is a great ( the best ) way to speed it up and keep it stable. If your like me and cant be bothered to reboot daily well in the words of Steve jobs, "We've got an app for that!". Head on over to http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-cleanram.html and grab your copy of CleanRAM. Yes its free. CleanRAM isn't only good reboot either its also good reclaiming ram on the go. When things get sluggish, just click and your rocking again in no time.

2. Keep it clean. Your Windows Mobile device isn't blessed with the greatest hardware to work with, RAM is often shared with your storage memory/ The more you can keep off your device either by deleting or moving it to the storage card the better and faster Windows will run. Try this app
http://mobisapienz.com/index.php?option=com_jdownloads&Itemid=82&task=viewcategory&catid=12, ClearTEMP. This software sniffs out useless space hog'ers and trashes them. Also in your email account settings make sure you tell it store attachments to your SD card... these puppies add up fast.

3. Increase your display adapters memory (This is indented for people comfortable editing the registry and devices with a decent amount of free memory). In you registry find the key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ GDI \ GLYPHCACHE \

Now that you've found it set " Limit " to 32768.... Soft rest. Done

[ 20/12/2009 ] Welcome !
Welcome to Deadlamb. I started development for Windows Mobile because I have talked to a lot of iPhone users who say WM is missing the simple little goofy applications that makes for a pointless and fun experience. I've set out to slowly clone the popular iPhone apps. I mean just because we are using business phones doesn't mean we don't enjoy pointless fun....

If you like what I am doing here, please donate (PayPal) as websites and visual studio licenses are not cheap!

All programs ( with the exception of a few older ones ) are developed exclusively for compatibility with HTC Touch Diamond, and VGA Touch Screen Devices!

If you ever have trouble using, downloading or installing apps please see the help section or contact me.
